The 'down-low' on Joseph being sick

Ok, so we took Joseph for his follow-up to his follow up appointment yesterday. He also got his 3-month-old shots, even thought he is 4 3/4 months old. (Yes, Momma totally missed the 3-month-old checkup.) They said the white blood count being high is a hard thing to judge. Apparently the report only said it was high, and did not give a specific number. (Which sounds silly to me.) They did say the urine sample taken in the ER was hard to read, and they took another sample. As of yesterday, the Doctor said he didn't think the urine was anything to worry about.

Early this morning our Pediatricians office called and said that the urine test had come back and indeed Joseph does have a Urinary Track Infection. I am glad to know what (most likely) caused Josephs fever, but feel badly for him to have been living with it for so long! Not to mention, the Bronchitis at the same time! Poor, poor little guy.

We will start him on medication tonight, and we have an appointment on Monday to check his urine again. Perhaps all of this means that in addition to Joseph getting better I will get more than 3-4 hours of sleep in any given stretch. H.a.l.l.e.l.u.j.a.h.!
