Blessings for 2014

1) For the first 3-5 months of our kids lives they sleep in a swing. It rocks them to sleep which means Mommy and Daddy get sleep at night and get stuff done in the day. (Brilliant!) But when they are around 3-5 months old, the swing begins to interrupt their sleep pattern and wake them up.

Two nights ago I swaddled and rocked Georgia, then put her in her bassinet right before she was asleep. She slept there all night. No waking. No crying. (Yea!) So last night I decided to try putting her down while she was relaxed, but wide awake. She laid there for 5-7 minutes - moving around getting comfortable - but no crying. AND SHE FELL ASLEEP! It's a new years miracle! :-D

2) For most of our 8.5 years of marriage we have owned our own business. (Or...um...it's owned us. Haha!) IF we decided to take off a holiday, it was for the actual day, and no more. But Deland has always worked on New Years if a job presented itself. We are thankful for the opportunity to work, but have also looked forward to the day when we could spend more time as family on holidays. This year, Deland took three days off at Christmas and has taken today (New Years Day) off! (Though our employee, Vincent has a full day scheduled.) We are grateful for the growth in our business that allows these indulgences. Our Heavenly Father is so kind and generous with us!

2013 brought much growth and blessings. We are forever grateful. In 2014 we are working smart and praying (and fasting. A lot.) to double our business' income each month from the year before. Then do that each year for the next 5 years. (We want to be a million dollar company in the next 5 years.) It's a tall order, but I know with the knowledge we've gained in the last 8.5 years and with the Lords help all things are possible. I know we can do it. I feel it in every inch of my body!

A few years ago it seemed like we'd never be out of debt. But we are almost debt free! (We have one bill left.) Through small and simple things big, wonderful, amazing things happen!

So here is to an abundant 2014 and being good stewards with the blessings the Lord grants unto us.

We thank Him in advance for these blessings. For we know they will come. :-)
